The Vikings took the lead late in the game in a 7-3 victory over Marysville on Saturday.
In the top of the sixth inning, Northridge tied things up at three when Alyson Quinlan hit a solo homer.
The game was tied at three with Northridge batting in the top of the seventh when Halleigh Carter reached first on an error, followed by a single from Madie Legg. Quinlan then singled scoring Carter. An RBI double from Caroline Liggett and two RBI double from Mandy Shults helped the Vikings bring in four runs in the inning.
Savanna Verhovec led the Northridge Vikings Varsity to victory in the circle. She allowed nine hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out one and walking one.
Shroyer took the loss for Marysville. She allowed four hits and two runs over three innings, walking zero.
Northridge hit two home runs on the day. Madie Legg went deep in the fourth inning scoring two. Quinlan had a solo dinger in the sixth inning.
The Vikings saw the ball well today, racking up 14 hits in the game. Legg, Quinlan, Ali Zigo, and Megan Payne all managed multiple hits. Quinlan and Legg each collected three hits to lead the team.
Marysville scattered nine hits in the game. E Daniel and G Brooks each had multiple hits for Marysville.
